Sacred Heart Church- Northwest Yonkers

Sacred Heart Church is a Capuchin Franciscan run church connected to a monastery in Northwest Yonkers. The church is like a church you would find in the center of an Italian city. The ceiling is painted in bright colors. There are many altars, each with its own beauty. Its large bell tower could be seen all over the New York metropolitan area as it is the highest point in Yonkers. The church resembles a cathedral like many churches in the City of Hills.

  1. I grew up on Tower Place, which is across the street from Sacred Heart Church and I agree that it's a beautiful church and a great neighborhood.
