Sacred Heart Church- Northwest Yonkers

Sacred Heart Church is a Capuchin Franciscan run church connected to a monastery in Northwest Yonkers. The church is like a church you would find in the center of an Italian city. The ceiling is painted in bright colors. There are many altars, each with its own beauty. Its large bell tower could be seen all over the New York metropolitan area as it is the highest point in Yonkers. The church resembles a cathedral like many churches in the City of Hills.

Lenoir Nature Preserve is definitely the most forgotten park in Yonkers but is possibly the most beautiful. Located on the border with Hastings on Hudson, the preserve the cleaniest and most natural area in all of Yonkers. It is known for its sloping meadows and its large estate house.
